ABOUT

The pursuit of greatness in art is something that cannot fully be put into words or pictures. When greatness is acheivable and the only thing stopping you is yourself, what will you sacrifice to reach it? Ever since Elliot began his film career, he’s hoped to make a film about his love for music; a film about what it truly means to dedicate yourself to something you care so deeply about. He was introduced to the Maine Mayhem film festival in his first year at SMCC and has been inspired since. Mayhem provided him with that chance to create FRET.
This short film, along with 7 other 15-minute shorts and 16 microshorts, will be brought to select theatres around Maine, as well as the Portland Museum of Art, in association with the Maine Mayhem Film Festival. The project has been in the works for nearly six month and is getting ready to shoot with a team of dedicated and creative cast and crew behind it. The film is a love letter to all creatives, highlighting the ups and downs of artistic devotion and exploring the cost of giving everything to your art, even when it means losing yourself in the process.
